Hello, I’m Kyan Lynch! 👋 As the Co-Founder and CEO of GME Mentor, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering graduate medical education (GME) program coordinators to become transformational leaders. With over 8+ years of experience in medical education, my journey has been shaped by overcoming challenges—including battling anxiety and depression during residency—to become a mentor and business leader. 💪 I hold an MD, an MA, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which equipped me with a unique blend of medical, educational, and organizational expertise. Having taught in diverse environments—from intimate mentorship settings to large lecture halls—I specialize in crafting education designs that truly make an impact. 🌍 My passion lies in helping physicians build thriving education-based careers, focusing on areas like LGBTQ+ health, public speaking, programming, and storytelling. In addition to my professional accomplishments, I love sharing knowledge through mediums like my newsletter, The MedEdge, and my book, A History of Transgender Medicine in the United States: From Margins to Mainstream. Beyond work, I engage with online communities as a proud sci-fi fan and “Swiftie” 🎵 while embracing life’s adventures inspired by my coast-to-coast experiences across the U.S. Let’s make MedEd better together!
